CT Technician – Travel Contract (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)
Location: Gastonia, North Carolina 28054
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift | 37.5 Hours per Week
Shift Timing: Wednesday – Friday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Additional Requirements:
- On-Call: 2 Times Per Month
- Floating: Gastonia and Belmont locations as needed
Job Summary
A well-established healthcare imaging organization in North Carolina is seeking an experienced CT Technician for a 13-week travel contract with strong potential for permanent placement. This position is ideal for a skilled imaging professional who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment and is comfortable working independently during overnight shifts.
The selected candidate will perform advanced CT imaging procedures, support diagnostic radiology operations, and deliver high-quality patient care while maintaining imaging accuracy and safety standards. This opportunity offers hands-on experience with advanced imaging technology and collaboration with an experienced radiology team focused on clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures following established imaging protocols
- Produce high-quality cross-sectional diagnostic images
- Operate CT imaging equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform general radiologic procedures as needed
- Administer IV contrast and maintain IV competency standards
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning during procedures
- Maintain radiation safety and imaging protection standards
- Exercise professional judgment in delivering imaging services
- Document imaging procedures accurately within departmental systems
- Support workflow coordination and daily imaging department operations
- Float between imaging locations as required
- Participate in scheduled on-call coverage
- Maintain imaging equipment cleanliness and operational readiness
Required Qualifications
- Active ARRT Certification required
- Active CT Credential: R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) required
- Previous CT Technologist experience required
- Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy required
- IV competency experience required
- Ability to work independently during night shifts required
- Excellent patient care and communication skills required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens Force Scanner preferred
- Experience with HD 750 Scanner preferred
- Experience with advanced or specialized imaging techniques preferred
- Strong customer service and patient interaction skills preferred
- Previous travel assignment experience preferred
- Experience floating between multiple imaging locations preferred
