Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

  • 11am-7:30pm

Under the Supervision of the lead technologist, the technologist will follow established policies, perform established CT protocols, venipuncture, tele-radiography, complete routine clerical tasks and assist patients. The technologist will apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patient's illness or injury.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of CT experience, preferably in a hospital environment
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing as needed
  • High level of technical and informatics knowledge and skill
  • Must perform venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of the radiologist. Must follow all hospital and departmental contrast administration policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

  • Siemens and Toshiba experience
  • PACS experience
  • Cerner experience
  • Previous Cerner experience a plus

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.

License/Certification:

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography
  • Massachusetts DPH Radiation Control License in Radiologic Technology and Computerized Tomography
  • Venipuncture certification which is provided from the institution during the 12 week probationary period.

Physical Demands:
