CT Technologist

Location: Falmouth, MA

Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)

Pay: $3,000 – $3,500/Week (Based on Experience)

Shift & Schedule: Evening Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Rotating Weekends Required | Occasional Coverage of 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography examinations while ensuring patient safety, image quality, radiation protection, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience working in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.

• Operate CT scanners and imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.

• Select appropriate scan parameters and imaging techniques for optimal results.

• Position patients accurately and utilize immobilization devices when necessary.

• Review imaging requests and patient histories to ensure appropriate procedures are performed.

• Explain procedures and provide patient education and reassurance.

• Monitor patient condition throughout imaging procedures.

• Administer contrast media in accordance with departmental policies and scope of practice.

• Evaluate image quality and perform technical adjustments when necessary.

• Apply radiation safety principles and infection control standards.

• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, contrast administration, and patient records.

• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and imaging staff to support quality patient care.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Graduate of an AMA-Accredited Radiography Program.

• Current ARRT Certification.

• Massachusetts State Radiation Control License.

• Current BLS Certification.

• CT Certification or ARRT CT Registry.

• Minimum 3 years of Radiologic Technologist experience OR 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience within the last 5 years.

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy, and radiation safety.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital-based CT experience.

• Experience with contrast-enhanced imaging procedures.

• Strong image quality assessment skills.

• Excellent patient care and communication abilities.

• Experience working evening and rotating weekend schedules.
