We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY The CT Technologist at the Freestanding Emergency Room and Urgent Care Clinic is responsible for performing CT procedures that are in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Optimizes the use of radiation by utilizing the concepts of Image Gently and Image Wisely by the American College of Radiology. The CT Technologist demonstrates knowledge of the human structure and functions patient caresafety positioning principles of radiographic sciences radiation protection medication safety contrast and specialized techniques. Maintains professional judgment and conduct that is complimentary of the ARRT Code of Ethics and St. Davids Healthcare Values.JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology and CT curriculum covering 3 semester hours of Sectional Anatomy or 16 hours post graduate CEUs Cross Sectional Anatomy EXPERIENCE One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred. LICENSEDCERTIFICATION REQUIRED Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist and Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists American Registry of Radiologic Technology ARRT RTRand Post- primary CT certification within 1yearof CT assignment and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
