Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a CT Technologist for their Bozeman, MT location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • The Acute Care Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment.
  • Performs CT procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
  • Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
  • Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.
  • Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
  • Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures.
  • Performs CT exams and procedures for NICU, CCU, ED and other hospital departments as requested by the medical staff.
  • Assists the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
  • Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
  • Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
  • Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures.
  • Participates in the implementation, monitoring and improvement of the quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.
  • Works independently in a highly complex, acute care inpatient setting.
  • Train and support peers.
Job tasks may involve exposure to:
  • Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
  • Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed
  • Various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
  • Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses
  • Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
 
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T.(R) & advanced registry in CT, R.T.(CT)
  • American Heart Association BLS required
  • Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist
  • 1 year of previous CT experience in a trauma center (level I or II)
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
  • Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity, and maintains confidentiality
  • Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment
  • Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at client
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Analyzes, organizes, and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Works varied shifts and participates in call rotation as scheduled and/or needed
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2
  • Cert: BLS/BCLS, ARRT
  • Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
  • Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
