- General Certification Requirements: BLS
- Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT, AZ license
- How many scanners/rooms: 3 counting the portable in Urgent Care.
- Will they have to float/cover any other areas: Inpatient, ER, outpatient, and urgent care
depending on the day may have to cover Urgent Care across the street. May cover CT or any
other area in the Radiology department if they have the experience and there is a need.
- Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Everything under the scope of their
license.
- Experience: 1 year experience, first-time traveler ok.
- Average # of scans/studies per day: 10-20 per day.
- EMR &/or PACS: EMR: CPSI | PACS: ImageLink
- Department Specific Equipment: Shimadzu
- Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech: Supervisor and lead.
- Do they use RRA's: No
- Radiologist in-house: No- everything is tele read.
- Do they have to start IVs: Yes- for covering CT.
- Shifts & Scheduling: 12s 7-7 or 10s 7a-5p. The manager does the schedule. 2 people on during the day and
1 at night.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: 12-hour shifts- rotate with perm staff.
- Call or Standby requirement: No
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color as long as clean and professional.
- Department-specific orientation: 2-3 days.
