The CT Technologist (CT Tech) is responsible for performing high-quality CT imaging in a Level 1 Trauma Center, ensuring accurate diagnostic imaging and patient safety.
This role requires expertise in CT procedures, strong knowledge of imaging systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Imaging
• Perform CT scans and imaging procedures
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic images
• Select appropriate imaging parameters
Equipment & Technology
• Operate CT imaging systems (Philips / Siemens preferred)
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Report equipment malfunctions
Patient Care & Safety
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures
• Administer contrast (if certified)
• Ensure patient safety and comfort
Team Collaboration
• Work with radiologists and clinical teams
• Support workflow and patient coordination
• Maintain professional communication
Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Follow EMR documentation protocols
Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT Certification (Required)
• New York State License (Required prior to start)
• Injection Therapy Certification (Required if already NY licensed)
• BLS Certification (AHA – Required)
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center
Preferred Qualifications
• Injection certification (preferred if not already obtained)
• Experience with Philips and Siemens CT equipment
• Experience in high-acuity hospital environments
