POSITION SUMMARY:

• Performs andu202fmaintainsu202fdaily check-ups and quality control on CT scanners as required by credentialing organizations.u202fu202f
• Reviews requisitions to determine proper study; interviews patients for medical history; prepares patients for exams; administers oral and IV contrast; utilizes knowledge of Creatinine meter;u202f explains benefits and risks of contrast to patient; positions patient appropriately; selects scan parameters and exposure factors;u202f monitors patient while scanning; reviews images for quality and abnormalities; adheres to OSHA guidelines; adheres to guidelines regarding radiation protection and recordkeeping; completes documentation and file notations; performs QC and patient tests according to protocol; performs weekly Emergency Crash Cart QC; works cooperatively with radiologist.u202fu202f
• Performs IV insertion as needed following proper guidelines asu202festablishedu202fby Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).u202f
• Records the patient's history and any pertinent informationu202fregardingu202ftheir examination.
• Verifies that all images, tech notes andu202frequiredu202fdocuments have successfully transmitted to PACS inu202fa timelyu202fandu202faccurateu202fmanner.u202f

• Graduate ofu202frecognized,u202fapproved AMAu202fcouncilu202fof Education program in radiological technology.u202f
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).u202f
