Job Overview

This role involves executing computerized imaging tasks while demonstrating proficiency with all relevant equipment and monitoring systems. You will provide assistance to both patients and physicians as required.

  • Conduct computerized imaging procedures effectively.
  • Utilize and maintain imaging equipment and monitors.
  • Support patients and healthcare professionals as needed.
QualificationsEducation Requirements
  • Mandatory: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
Essential Skills
  • Proficient in computer software with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Capable of offering both physical and emotional support to patients, considering their limitations during screenings.
Licensure and Certifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
  • One of the following combinations of licenses and certifications is required:
    • Combination 1:
      • FL DOH License: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant.
      • Certification: ARRT (R) Radiography.
      • Must obtain ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography within one year of hire or transfer.
    • Combination 2:
      • FL DOH License: Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
      • Certification: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology or NMTCB, and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
    • Combination 3:
      • FL DOH License: Radiation Therapy Technologist.
      • Certification: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
    • Combination 4:
      • FL DOH License: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, or Computed Tomography.
      • Certification: ARRT (R) Radiography and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
Experience Requirements
  • Required: Less than one year of experience in computerized imaging (CT, X-ray, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy) or completion of a post-secondary CT certification program.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in radiology within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI, along with graduation from a post-secondary CT certification program or one year of CT imaging experience.
