Job Summary
The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography (CT) examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal image quality while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The technologist works closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to provide timely diagnostic imaging that supports effective patient care.
Essential Functions
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in department quality assurance programs, including protocol review and image audits.
Support continuing education and cross-training within other modalities when needed.
Serve as a resource for new technologists, students, or trainees during orientation and practical instruction.
Assist leadership with maintaining supply inventory and reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance workflow and patient satisfaction.
Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Radiology Director.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
Certification/Licensure:
ARRT (R) certification required.
Advanced ARRT (CT) certification required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
New Mexico State Radiologic Technologist license (active and in good standing).
Current BLS certification.
Training: Must complete annual continuing education (CEU) requirements and maintain compliance with all ACR and state regulations.
