Position Overview:
This role involves conducting computerized tomography (CT) procedures to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and injuries, adhering to protocols set by radiologists. Please note that this position does not include performing biopsy procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients accurately while selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
- Administer contrast media and/or medications in accordance with established practices and relevant regulations.
- Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity, and suggest updates to protocols as necessary.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and guidelines.
- Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a program in Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand and walk.
- Frequent use of vision for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
- Regularly communicate verbally and use hearing to share information and detect alarms or machinery issues.
- Occasional lifting and moving of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Frequent lifting and moving of patients, along with data entry tasks.
- Occasional bending, stooping, and repetitive movements of legs and arms.
- Rarely required to kneel or sit.

- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography or Computed Tomography (CT) Credential
- Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
For the states of Missouri and Oklahoma:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
