Position Summary Responsibilities Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles. Essential Functions \u2022 Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care. \u2022 Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. \u2022 Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality. \u2022 Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives. \u2022 Assesses the patient's physical condition and age specific needs. \u2022 Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. \u2022 Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient's clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented. \u2022 Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors to achieve high quality imagesfor interpretation. \u2022 Assesses diagnostic imagesfor technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that allrelative anatomy is demonstrated. \u2022 Applies principles ofradiation safety to minimize exposure to patients,self, and others. \u2022 Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks. \u2022 Demonstrates proficiency in contrast medication administration with and without use of power injectors. \u2022 Performs venipuncture and evaluates IV access for the purpose of contrast administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. \u2022 Administers medical aid asrequired in cases of adverse reaction to contrast medication and/or other emergencies. \u2022 Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases. \u2022 Assistsin supervision ofstudent technologists and training of new technologists Qualifications Licensure/Certification \u2022 Maintains current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. \u2022 Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida. \u2022 Additionally, must meet one of the following criteria: o Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (CT); or o Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CT); or o Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CNMT) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Certification (CT) Mandatory minimum of two (2) years' CT experience and experience in one or more of the following areas: \u2022 Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging. \u2022 Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training. \u2022 Primary responsibility: Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality
