Overview

Department: Radiology / Diagnostic ImagingSchedule: Full-Time, Nights, 8 hour shifts

Hospital: Central Maine Medical Center

Location: Lewiston, ME

• CT technologists work with modern, high‑end imaging technology, supporting a wide range of diagnostic and emergency imaging needs.
• Exposure to complex and diverse cases, including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and inpatient/outpatient imaging-great for skill growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures according to physician orders and radiology protocols
• Produce high-quality diagnostic CT images while maintaining radiation safety standards
• Prepare and position patients for CT scans, verifying patient identity and explaining procedures
• Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and safety
• Assist Radiologists and physicians during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
• Process and transmit CT images to PACS for interpretation and storage
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond to patient care needs
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
• Follow infection control, radiation safety, and hospital compliance standards

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.

2. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment is required.

3. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.

4. Radiology/ CT license and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.

5. ARRT-CT Certification is required

6. Must possess and maintain BCLS (AHA) upon hire.

7. Proficient computer skills.
