Job Responsibilities
Perform CT procedures according to established protocols to ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality diagnostic images.
Select appropriate kV and mA settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
Perform daily quality control (QC) calibration checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly before patient exams.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals as ordered by the physician and according to established protocols.
Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to scheduled procedures.
Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries, including confirming activity levels before administration.
Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety testing while adhering to ALARA radiation safety principles.
Maintain patient imaging records and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
Complete all required documentation, including logs, manuals, charge documentation, and equipment issue reports, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Assess and respond appropriately to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Required Skills
Proficiency in performing CT procedures following established protocols.
Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques, quality assurance, and radiation safety practices.
Ability to provide excellent patient care and exercise sound clinical judgment.
