Reason Detail: Have 2 CT scanners now in service as of July 2026 through October 2026 and looking to increase productivity/reduce testing request wait times for these Cardiac CT cases but due to approved CT tech vacations and a pending full-time CT lead tech request need additional technologists resource for coverage to make this feasible.
Duties:
1. Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to insure quality diagnostic CT images. 2. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment in order to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed. 3. Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order following the prescribed protocol. 4. Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as, reporting equipment problems in order to comply with regulatory agencies. 5. Performs quality control, quality assurance and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle. 6. Maintains and develops and retrieves patient films and electronic date for Radiologist interpretation. 7. Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use. 8. Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the does prior to administration.
Skills:
Performs CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols in order to ensure uniformity and accuracy. Exercises appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient's needs prior to, during and after visits in the Radiology department.
Education:
Required Education:
-Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
