Description

Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 02 months Contract
Schedule: OVERNIGHT Monday to Friday, 12am-8am
Hourly rate: $68/hour hour on W2 (Negotiable)

Duties:
  • Perform CT scans using appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Conduct daily quality control (QC) calibration checks to ensure CT equipment is functioning properly before patient exams.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Follow department documentation policies by completing required logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues.
  • Perform quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and safety testing.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle.
  • Maintain, retrieve, and manage patient imaging records and electronic data for radiologist interpretation.
  • Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to scheduled use.
  • Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries, including confirming proper receipt and activity levels before administration.
  • Perform CT procedures according to established protocols to ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures while providing safe, patient-centered care.
Required Education:
  • Graduate of an JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
  • New York State License (L.R.T).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified).
Required Skills:
  • Experience performing CT procedures following established imaging protocols.
  • Knowledge of CT quality control, quality assurance, and radiation safety practices.
  • Ability to safely administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
  • Strong understanding of ALARA principles and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent patient assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation and electronic imaging records.
