Schedule
Full-time contract schedule, commonly 36 to 40 hours per week depending on facility needs.
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holiday rotation based on department coverage.
Job Summary
CT Technologists perform diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images for physician interpretation. These roles are commonly used in hospitals, trauma centers, emergency departments, and outpatient imaging settings for local and travel contract assignments.
Responsibilities
Prepare, position, and educate patients for CT imaging procedures while confirming patient identity and exam orders
Operate CT scanners to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols.
Administer contrast agents when permitted, monitor patients for reactions, and follow safety procedures for contrast use.
Maintain accurate imaging records and complete documentation in the electronic medical record and radiology systems.
Follow radiation safety standards, infection prevention measures, and department quality protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Current ARRT certification; CT-specific credentials may be required by the facility.
Active state licensure if required in the assignment state.
Minimum 1–2 years of recent CT Tech experience preferred for contract and travel assignments.
Strong patient care, communication, and critical thinking skills in fast-paced imaging environments.
