CT Technologist
Location: New York, NY 10003
Contract Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: 5x8 Nights (Monday–Friday, 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 37.5 – 40
Guaranteed Hours: Dependent on facility requirements
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a healthcare facility in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will perform CT procedures according to established protocols while ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce quality diagnostic CT images.
- Perform daily quality control and calibration checks on imaging equipment.
- Administer injections and contrast materials as ordered by physicians and according to established protocols.
- Complete all required documentation, logs, and reports in compliance with department and regulatory standards.
- Perform quality assurance, quality control, and safety testing.
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and adhere to ALARA principles.
- Maintain, retrieve, and manage patient imaging records for radiologist interpretation.
- Order, receive, verify, and document patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses according to policy.
- Assess and respond appropriately to patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Radiography License (L.R.T.).
- ARRT Certification in Radiography.
- Current ARRT CT Certification.
- AHA BLS Certification.
- Certification to inject contrast material as required by NYS DOH.
