Key Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Assess patient conditions and tailor imaging techniques as needed.
- Operate imaging equipment and position patients to ensure optimal image quality.
- Educate patients about the procedure to enhance comfort and reduce anxiety.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards for both patients and staff.
- Review images for quality and make necessary adjustments.
- Document procedures accurately and send images to the PACS system for review by medical professionals.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report any technical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT Certification in Radiography (or equivalent)
- Active Illinois Emergency Management Department of Nuclear Safety license
- CT Certification required within one year of start date (ARRT Post Primary CT)
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
