We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Akron Campus. The ideal candidate will operate computerized tomography (CT) and radiologic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate record management. This role involves close collaboration with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to support timely and precise diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CT and radiologic imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
Ensure accurate processing and documentation of patient records and imaging results.
Review images with radiologists and perform additional imaging as required.
Assist in invasive and specialized diagnostic procedures.
Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
Administer contrast media injections as needed.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment in accordance with standards.
Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.
Provide compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity and respect.
Perform additional duties as assigned based on training and competency.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Valid State of Ohio Radiographer License
Experience
Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technology experience (preferred)
CT Registry certification (preferred)
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiologic equipment
Ability to position patients and handle equipment with precision
Experience administering IV contrast agents
Effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff
Proficiency in computer systems and patient record management
Physical ability to lift and position patients (heavy workload capacity)
Ability to respond to emergencies and perform CPR
Certifications Required
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ARRT Certification
Physical Requirements
Ability to exert:
50 100 lbs occasionally
25 50 lbs frequently
10 20 lbs continuously
Compliance & Health Requirements
Drug screening and background check
Immunizations: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap
TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)
Fit test and health clearance documentation
Additional Requirements
Completion of facility-specific competency exams and skills checklists
Professional references and employment verification
Social Security verification and education validation
