Job Overview:

This role involves conducting computerized tomographic procedures to assist in diagnosing diseases and injuries, following protocols set by radiologists. The candidate must be proficient in at least three of the following procedures: biopsy, TAVR, coronary, watchman, extremity work for OR planning, ablations, or fiducial placement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomical and technical parameters.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications in accordance with accepted practices and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual activity. Suggest updates or improvements to protocols as necessary.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate safely.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience is required.

Required Professional Licenses and Certifications:

  • State of Work Location: Illinois
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-R Radiography or ARRT-T Radiation Therapy or ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
  • ARRT-CT Computed Tomography or Computed Tomography (CT) Credential
  • Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) or Temporary Accreditation - IEMA
