Job Summary and QualificationsThe CT Tech performs CT scans, providing the highest level of customer service and image quality.What You Will Do in This RoleYou will perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.You will prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.You will take patient history and retrieve any necessary orders or prior images.You will provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.You will appropriately complete documentation.You will coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.You will support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.You will inform patients about procedures and answer questions.You will interact and professionally communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.You will start IVs for contrast administration.You will use the power injector.You will contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.You will maintain all licenses, certifications, and accreditations required as outlined in job qualifications.You will handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking, etc.).You will promote customer service initiatives by adhering to the ICARE values.You will support and participate in quality (QI) and performance improvement (PI) plans.You will comply with quarterly targeted metrics (i.e., Kronos, HealthStream, PACS, etc.).You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.You will perform other duties as assigned.What Qualifications You Will NeedGraduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.Current ARRT certification with advanced registry, or registry eligible with advanced CT certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.1 year post-graduate experience preferred.BLS certification required.Benefits TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
