CT/X-Ray Technologist Job Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
• Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort
• Operate CT scanners and digital radiography equipment efficiently while producing high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer contrast media when appropriate while monitoring patients for adverse reactions
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize patient and staff exposure
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Perform equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards and departmental policies

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

• A.R.R.T. Registration – Required
• Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Licensure – Required
• BLS Certification – Required (may be obtained during orientation)

Preferred Experience

• One to three years of Radiology (Imaging and Therapy) experience in a healthcare or medical setting
• Previous CT imaging experience preferred
• Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and diagnostic radiology procedures
• Excellent communication, patient care, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team
