Job Description

Agriculture Teacher / FFA Advisor

Murray County High School is seeking a motivated Agriculture Teacher to lead a comprehensive agricultural education program and serve as FFA Advisor.

Responsibilities:

• Teach agricultural education courses aligned with Georgia CTAE standards
• Advise the FFA chapter and prepare students for leadership activities and competitions
• Maintain agricultural facilities such as greenhouse, shop, and/or cannery
• Build partnerships with local agriculture businesses and community members
• Promote and support the agricultural education program

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education or related field
• Eligible for or hold Georgia Teaching Certification in Agricultural Education (6-12)
• Ability to support FFA and student leadership development

Additional Information: This position includes extended day and extended year responsibilities to support FFA activities, student supervision, and program needs beyond the regular school schedule.
