ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs and goals of students; establish clear objectives for all lessons and units; ensure that lessons are aligned with state curriculum standards.
• Develop lesson plans; work cooperatively with the academys instructional support team to learn from feedback and improve the quality of instruction.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures; enforce the academys student discipline code.
• Collaborate with special education staff to implement accommodations and modifications as indicated in student IEPs.
• Maintain professional competence.
• May participate in extracurricular activities such as coaching, tutoring, enrichment activities, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree
• State teacher certification or in process
• Capability in professionalism, instruction and classroom management
