The successful candidate will teach and supervise students in three program areas: Child Development (Grades 9-12), Freshman Success, and Senior Success. This position prepares students for postsecondary education, careers, and lifelong success through engaging instruction, hands-on learning experiences, and career-connected opportunities.The teacher will collaborate with the Winlock ECEAP Preschool program to provide authentic learning experiences for students while supporting the development and education of preschool-aged children. Instruction will align with Washington State CTE standards and frameworks.Teach Child Development courses aligned with Washington State CTE Child Development Frameworks and industry standards.Students will gain knowledge of:Physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and moral development of children from conception through preschool age.Brain development and current developmental research.Appropriate care and guidance of infants, toddlers, and young children.Childcare practices in educational and home environments.Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate learning activities.Health, safety, and legal requirements related to early childhood education.Creating and maintaining safe, inclusive learning environments.Students will participate in:Hands-on learning experiences with the Winlock ECEAP Preschool program.Observation and assessment of child development.Planning and leading age-appropriate activities.Career exploration in education, childcare, and human services professions.Work-based learning opportunities and leadership development through CTSO activities.Teach Freshman Success curriculum designed to support students in the transition to high school and
