Position Goal(s)/Summary
Responsible for implementing the district curriculum for the Digital Media Production Program
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree
- Full approval by the State Board of Education, or possess a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Career and Technical Education, or be recommended for full approval in the CTE area by an approved institution of higher education, or be eligible for Annual Authorization to teach in a Digital Media Productions related field
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive, professional, and friendly manner when working with local schools, service agencies, and business, industry, and community members
- Provide planning and preparation support for the students in the WMISD Career Technical Center
- Coordinate and assist in the implementation process of individual, classroom, and WMISD educational plans
- Maintain a high level of professionalism in the development and implementation of all areas of curriculum in the assigned program, and create a positive image of the WMISD to the general public while ensuring quality programming for all students
General Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and tasks consistent with the duties and tasks specific to the assigned program
- Work effectively as a team with WMISD, LEA, and community agency staff
- Make a conscious effort to solve problems in a professional, constructive, people-friendly manner
- Be well-organized and work effectively with specific timelines
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Assist in the development of long-range planning and staff in-services
- Present a positive image of the WMISD
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and commitment to the mission and vision of the WMISD
- Keep up to date professionally
- Other duties as may be assigned
Minimal Qualifications
Upon date of hire:
- Full approval by the State Board of Education, or possess a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Career and Technical Education, or be recommended for full approval in the CTE area by an approved institution of higher education, or be eligible for Annual Authorization to teach in a Digital Media Productions related field
- Must have demonstrated skills with computer applications
- Must have demonstrated skills and knowledge of human relations
- Must have demonstrated math, written, and verbal communication skills
Within 90 days of hire:
- Complete any required training modules/courses
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Must have a valid Michigan State Driver's License or State ID
- Must have own transportation to and from assignments
- Ability to pass Criminal History Check, Pre-employment Physical, and Drug Screen
