Pre-Apprenticeship
and
Advanced
Manufacturing
and
are
prepared
to
make
an
informed
choice
about
a
career
in
skilled
and
technical
related
occupations
or
apply
their
knowledge
to
a
career
in
a
similar
field.
This
position
is
a
career/technical
educator
who
will
develop
and
ensure
a
course
that
is
aligned
to
current
industry
standards
and
uses
academic
common
core
standards,
that
helps
students
learn
about
a
variety
of
careers,
that
collaborates
with
industry
professionals
for
in-class
and
extended
learning
opportunities
for
students,
and
that
fits
with
the
school's
programs
of
study
in
combined
academic
and
technical
pathways.
Duties and responsibilities:
Design,
develop,
facilitate
year-long
CTE
courses
that
prepare
students
for:
Advanced
coursework,
industry
certifications,
internships
and
other
work-related
experiences
Courses
include
applying
industry
and
academic
standards,
project-based
learning,
extended
learning
leadership
opportunities
for
students,
work-readiness
skills,
and
advising
SkillsUSA,
a
Career
and
Technical
Student
Organization.
Lead
and/or
participate
in
the
program's
industry
advisory
board
that
reviews
curriculum,
develops
projects,
and
integrates
industry
professionals
into
the
course
and
provides
mentorships,
job-shadow
opportunities,
or
internships
for
students.
Plan,
implement,
and
evaluate
classroom
and
instructional
activities
consistent
with
adopted
district
curriculum
and
approved
state
course
frameworks.
Diagnose
and
prescribe
learning
and
training
programs
needs
of
individual
students.
Cooperate
with
the
building
principal,
department
chairperson,
career
and
technical
education
administrator,
PLC
team,
staff,
and
program
advisory
and
community
in
implementation
of
comprehensive
instructional
and
activities
program.
Provide
opportunities
for
student
leadership
and
work-based
learning
both
in
and
extended
learning
out
of
classroom,
working
collaboratively
with
the
program
advisory
committee
to
further
develop
the
program;
possess
knowledge
of
equipment
usage
and
maintenance.
Ensure
classroom
safety,
security,
and
high-quality
learning
opportunities
while
following
safe
work
practices
and
procedures
and
always
ensure
safe
and
proper
use
of
equipment.
Maintain
program
budget;
purchase
and
order
supplies
and
resources.
Create
and
use
data
to
improve
the
program;
integrate
business
and
community
partnerships
to
further
the
program.
Assure
that
students
achieve
certifications,
dual
college
credit
cross
equivalency
and
other
appropriate
credentials. Training and knowledge:

Working Conditions: Physical Requirements: The position is primarily classroom- and lab-based, with the teacher frequently
standing,
walking,

as
moving
between
classroom
spaces,
kitchen
labs,
or
other instructional areas. There is some physical exertion involved, such as setting up lab equipment, assisting students during
