CTL Machine Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete CTL setups to ensure compliance with production instructions

• Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil

• Thread coil through leveler, cropping all non-complying material

• Review and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr and surface condition and ensure

compliance with production instructions

• Set gauge monitoring system (if applicable) and ensure gauge calibration

• Thread coil through and into shear

• Adjust leveler to correct any shape defects as needed through processing

• Run coils at maximum speed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy

• Monitor material conditions, gauge as required and ensure customer specifications

• Band onto skid in compliance with production and complete all documentation

• Remove scrap from machine regularly and empty hoppers as needed

• Communicate non-compliance production or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead

Qualifications; Knowledge, Abilities, Skills:

• Ability to read and follow all work order instructions and complete necessary documentation

• Knowledge of current crane and forklift operation preferred

• Ability to perform complete setup and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with the

customer specifications

• Strong communication skills

• Ability and willingness to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors/management of the production

• Other duties as assigned
