The Operations and Events Coordinator plans and coordinates the Center for Teaching, Learning and Research's programs and events in the Davis Library suite to increase student engagement and support academic coaching. The Coordinator will also work with other CTLR offices, including faculty professional development and fellowships, to support programming in the Davis Library suite.
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $20.52 - $22.83 per hour.
Core Responsibilities:
Working closely with campus and Center partners, manages event plans through development/production and event day delivery, coordinating logistics and administration for events, guest travel, catering, facilities management, accessibility, risk management, expenditures, promotion, calendar and staff management, and problem troubleshooting and resolution.
Consults with Center staff to determine event objective, title, content, structure, timing, and budget; translates that information into an event plan to manage its development, production, and delivery.
With CTLR director and staff, manage schedule for student staff and peer tutors; ensures outstanding visitor services; explains and enforces space use policies.
Works in partnership with CCI team and stakeholders to develop line-up of events for each semester, including what programs and events may be needed, timing, and budget needs; establishes and manages a planned events schedule.
Works with internal staff and coordinates with Library staff to create a positive CTLR user experience, ensuring that the physical space in Davis Library is welcoming to all visitors (students, faculty, staff, and program participants), including facilitating and communicating information on Center services, managing common spaces within the Center; and assisting in maintaining the appearance/visual aesthetics and orderliness of all common areas.
Assists with coordination of itineraries and travel arrangements for CTLR programming.
Promotes and advances the Center's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in all programming and resources.
