C# Trading Developer

Seeking a specialized developer to support and enhance mission-critical applications connected to its trading and order management ecosystem. This role is highly hands-on and requires strong C#/.NET, SQL, and trading platform experience in a buy-side environment.




The developer will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable applications, improve system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and support the continued modernization of trading technology.




What You ll Tackle:




Design, develop, and maintain trading applications integrated with order management systems.

Build and enhance applications using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.

Partner with traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and business users.

Troubleshoot production issues and deliver fast, reliable resolutions.

Optimize application performance and system reliability.

Support best practices around design patterns, unit testing, and CI/CD.

Conduct code reviews and help enforce development standards.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical direction.




What You Bring:




8+ years of hands-on software development experience.

Strong C#/.NET Core and SQL Server expertise.

Recent asset management or hedge fund experience.

Experience supporting trading platforms or order management systems.

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and service-oriented architecture.

Ability to troubleshoot trading-related applications under time-sensitive conditions.

Strong analytical, reasoning, listening, and problem-solving skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience with Charles River or another buy-side OMS.

Microservices architecture experience.

Azure Services and Azure DevOps experience.

CI/CD pipeline experience.

Kafka or real-time trading data processing experience.

Angular or similar modern front-end framework experience.
