    Arizona’s Catholic Tuition Support Organization (CTSO)
    Job Description
     
    Job Title:  CTSO Scholarship and  Program Coordinator                                Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
     
    Department/Location: Arizona’s Catholic Tuition Support Organization, Inc. / Tucson
     
    Primary Function: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Scholarship and Program Coordinator evaluates policies and procedures related to the organization scholarship program. Will assist in processing, handling, and recording scholarship information and provide school outreach. Provide presentations in the schools/parishes and parents regarding the CTSO scholarship programs. The Employee shall be a minister of the Gospel and Catholic Teaching both academically and behaviorally while at work and in his/her personal life, “…Live in a manner worthy of the call you have received.” (Eph. 4:1)
     
     
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Support the pastoral and spiritual mission of the Diocese and the Catholic Church  
    • Shall abide by Catholic principles in the teacher’s professional and private life and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures.
    • Assist  parish and schools with  visits, speaking engagements, presentations, and workshops.
    • Facilitate communications with parishes and schools regarding the scholarship program or tax credit programs.
    • Assist with processing, handling, and recording information regarding the CTSO Scholarship Program.
    • Support families and schools with concerns, scholarship applications, and eligibility assistance.
    • Manage the review and verification of all scholarship applications.
    • Assist with other office duties and perform other duties as assigned.
    Physical/Mental Requirements:  Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment. 
     
    Required Activities:  Walking; sitting; standing; stooping; reaching; talking; handling; hearing; carrying; and keyboarding. 
     
    Basic Qualifications:
    • A working knowledge of, and a strong commitment to the mission of fostering lay leadership in the Catholic Church; must also be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
    • Excellent communications skills including written, verbal, public speaking, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent human relations and people skills; must be an initiative-taker and be well-organized; must be a collaborator.
    • Ability to travel and be available for evening and weekend work.
    • Proficiency in computer technology includes Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
    • The ability to successfully complete a criminal history and background check.
     Education and Experience:
    • Graduation from a two-year college or equivalent two-year experience in a non-profit environment.
    • Must feel comfortable speaking in public. 
    Other/Preferred Skills:
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
