Through collaboration and a shared sense of purpose, our team works each day to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we serve.The Role in ActionAs Culinary Supervisor & Trainer, your leadership helps ensure every meal served supports dignity, stability, and a safe, structured environment for our guests.You will oversee food production and meal planning, keep daily kitchen operations running smoothly, and coordinate the setup, service, and cleanup for special food service events at MTM. You’ll develop healthy, well-balanced menus and train the Culinary Services team to prepare and serve meals in alignment with Mel Trotter food service standards. You’ll also maintain a clean, well-functioning kitchen by monitoring equipment readiness and consistently meeting health and safety requirements. In addition, you will train and supervise MTM program guests participating in the job training program.Qualifications:- 5+ years in a similar culinary role- High-volume food production experience- Managerial experience preferred- Culinary arts degree preferred- ServSafe certification preferredA Typical ShiftYou’ll start by reviewing the day’s menu and production plan, then move through prep with a steady, safety-first rhythm. As service approaches, you’ll check that stations are ready and standards are being followed, stepping in to coach in the moment. Special event days add coordination and pacing—making sure guests and staff know the flow from setup to final cleanup. Throughout the day, you’ll keep an eye on sanitation details, temperature logs, and equipment needs, closing out by resetting the kitchen for the next meal and ensuring trainees leave with clear feedback and practical skills they can build on. If you're ready to lead with excellence and purpose, we invite you to apply.
