The Resource Sharing/Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Department in the University of New Mexico College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (CULLS) seeks motivated and highly engaged students interested in a challenging behind-the-scenes work environment. Due to the timely nature of interlibrary loan workflows, we are seeking individuals with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability.
Under direct supervision, Library Assistants work with University Libraries staff and student employees in a team environment to:
This position offers hours Monday - Friday between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Evening and weekend hours are not available.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity for progressively independent work and increased responsibility within a collegial team environment. Benefits of this position include: gaining extensive knowledge of and experience with library fulfillment systems; receiving guidance and mentoring from library staff; and developing professional skills such as interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
