Cultivation Technician I (Flower Team)
Massachusetts | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Starting $19/hr
Vangarden is seeking a Cultivation Technician I to join our Flower Team within the Cultivation department. This is a hands-on, full-time role supporting daily cultivation operations and ensuring plant health and productivity throughout the growth cycle.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, detail-oriented work and is interested in growing within a fast-paced cultivation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cultivation tasks including transplanting, trellising, pruning, harvesting, trimming, and plant propagation
- Assist with irrigation and fertigation processes, including filling nutrient stock tanks
- Conduct routine room checks and monitor plant health, reporting any pests, diseases, or abnormalities
- Apply biological controls and pesticides in accordance with company and state regulations
- Maintain clean, sanitized, and organized workspaces
- Process plant waste and support overall facility cleanliness
- Identify and report equipment issues to management
Qualifications
- High attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in hot, humid environments
- Comfortable with physical labor, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using ladders
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Prior cannabis or cultivation experience is a plus, but not required
