This is a Boston based opportunity with a 4 day in office expectation (Monday - Thursday) with 1 day remote (Friday).

At this time, Wayfair will not sponsor applicants for employment authorization for this position for the following work visas: STEM OPT EAD, H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, J-1, or TN.

The Curation Planner owns the outcomes of a focused portfolio of strategic suppliers and products across our Premium, Specialty, and Foundational brands. Working as a close partner to Merchants, Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs), Supplier Inventory Managers (SIMs) and suppliers, this role helps drive sales productivity, SKU health, and path to exclusivity at the item level.

You will execute against a SKU success playbook, using data to monitor performance, flag risks, and drive follow‑through with suppliers. Over time, you will build expertise in exclusivity planning, supplier management, and SKU health governance, becoming a core contributor to Wayfair’s differentiated, curated assortments.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with suppliers (and senior planners) to support exclusivity plans for your SKU portfolio, including volume thresholds, feasibility checks, and milestone tracking.

  • Where full exclusivity is not achievable, help identify product‑level differentiation or next‑best supplier options in alignment with Merchants.

  • Monitor pricing, availability (across both our internal warehouses, CastleGate, and supplier dropship networks), merchandising quality, and performance marketing signals across your portfolio.

  • Surface issues (e.g., uncompetitive pricing, low availability, gaps in Google Product Listing Ads (PLA), findability on site) and follow through with suppliers and cross‑functional partners to resolve them.

  • Track and maintain SKU health metrics including violations, reviews, incidents, speed, and returns.

  • Use customer feedback and incident data to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.

  • Execute against merchandising requests on your SKUs, ensuring changes are intentional, aligned to strategy, and performance‑driving.

  • Independently run and lead supplier business reviews with key supplier partners, including executive leadership.

  • Lead regular supplier assortment reviews to ensure supplier alignment across Verified, Specialty & Foundational brand priorities.

  • Ensure pre‑launch requirements (e.g., pricing, imagery, reviews, advertising commitments) are captured and tracked.

  • Monitor early performance and inventory signals and escalate risks quickly.

  • Work closely with Merchants, SRMs, SIMs, and Retail Planning & Allocation to ensure items in your portfolio hit agreed goals.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and reporting used by the Curation Planning team.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 0–3 years of experience in retail, e‑commerce, buying, merchandising, planning, analytics, or supplier management.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.

  • High ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a portfolio of SKUs and keep metrics, documentation, and supplier data accurate.

  • Clear, concise communication skills (written and verbal) and comfort presenting data‑driven insights to internal stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow through in ambiguity, re‑prioritize as new information emerges, and maintain momentum toward goals.

  • Collaborative mindset; motivated by building something new and contributing to a small, high‑impact team.

  • Willingness to quickly adopt new AI tools and implement in workstreams
