Classification Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:
  • Prepare and proofread exhibition materials; manage curatorial paperwork and acquisition contracts.
  • Coordinate and oversee financial processes (budgets, expenditures, vendor payments) and annual budget proposals.
  • Schedule and manage curators' travel, appointments, and speaking engagements, including presentation materials.
  • Act as curatorial liaison to museum staff, volunteers, and the public; coordinate inter-departmental interactions.
  • Participate in staff meetings, exhibition planning, strategic planning, finance meetings, and grant applications.
  • Assist in creating long-term exhibition schedules and with monthly exhibition committee meetings.
  • Respond to research inquiries and public requests; disseminate exhibition information.
  • Supervise OPS employees, volunteers, interns, and work-study students as needed in the curators' absence.


Expected Salary:
$20 per hour

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
  • BA/BS in arts administration, art history, English, history, anthropology, library science, or related field
  • Excellent organizational, planning, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork aptitude
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Teams, Zoom, TMS, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel
  • Knowledge of data collection methods and ability to compile and analyze data
  • Self-directed and career-minded
  • Excellent communication skills
