## LocationRemote / Hybrid (Flexible Scheduling Available) ## Employment TypePart-Time | Contract | Consulting Opportunities Available ## About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and passionate Curriculum Specialist, Classroom Management & Student Engagement to design and facilitate a comprehensive 15-week professional development program for current and aspiring teachers, instructional aides, and behavioral specialists.This role combines curriculum design, live instruction, coaching, and educational leadership to help educators create positive, structured, and engaging learning environments where all students can succeed. The ideal candidate has extensive classroom experience, strong expertise in classroom management frameworks, and a passion for supporting educators through practical, evidence-based professional development. ## Key Responsibilities### Curriculum Development & Instruction * Design and deliver a 15-week professional development course (3 instructional hours per week). * Develop engaging curriculum covering: * Classroom management theories and frameworks * Preventive classroom management strategies * Behavioral interventions * Positive reinforcement systems * Student engagement techniques * Inclusive classroom practices * Create practical classroom management plans, behavior intervention frameworks, and scenario-based learning activities. * Facilitate interactive workshops, role-playing exercises, case study discussions, and collaborative problem-solving sessions. * Coordinate guest speakers, including experienced educators, behavioral specialists, and school psychologists.### Coaching & Professional Growth * Conduct up to 10 one-on-one coaching sessions with participants throughout the course. * Provide individualized feedback on classroom management plans, reflections, and implementation projects. * Mentor educators in addressing challenging behaviors, supporting diverse learners, and fostering inclusive classroom environments. * Hold office hours and provide ongoing instructional support.### Assessment & Program Evaluation * Design formative and summative assessments that measure participant understanding and practical application of course content. * Collaborate with program staff to establish grading rubrics and evaluation standards. * Review participant performance through quizzes, projects, peer reviews, and classroom implementation plans. * Collect participant feedback and evaluate program effectiveness to support continuous improvement. ## Required Qualifications * Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, Special Education, or a related field; OR * Bachelor's degree with a valid teaching certification and significant relevant experience. * Minimum of 5 years of classroom teaching experience in diverse educational settings. * Demonstrated expertise in: * Classroom management strategies * Student engagement practices * Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) * Restorative practices * Behavioral intervention planning * Strong curriculum design, facilitation, and instructional coaching skills. * Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting teachers and educational staff. ## Preferred Qualifications * PBIS Trainer certification or certification in behavior management programs such as Conscious Discipline, Love and Logic, or similar frameworks. * Experience working with special education populations and high-needs learners. * Professional development facilitation and adult learning experience. * Knowledge of CTLE requirements, professional learning communities (PLCs), and educator development programs. * Experience supporting culturally responsive and inclusive instructional practices. ## Schedule & Workload * Approximately 810 hours per week during course delivery: * 3 hours instruction * 23 hours coaching
