Custodial Crew Leader / Lexington KY / $19.58/hr

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate custodial staff to ensure efficient completion of cleaning tasks across multiple sites
• Lead cleaning operations including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning to maintain pristine conditions
• Conduct inspections to verify that cleaning standards are upheld and safety protocols are followed
• Assign daily duties such as janitorial tasks, maintenance checks, and specialized cleaning projects
• Train team members on proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures
• Manage supplies inventory, order janitorial products, and ensure proper equipment maintenance
• Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs and residential painting as needed

Experience

• Prior custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership or porter experience leading small teams or crews
• Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing and industrial cleaning methods
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs and residential painting is a plus
• Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and quality control measures
• Ability to train others effectively and foster a collaborative team environment

This is a full-time position requiring regular, punctual attendance on-site. Regular schedule may include working weekends, holidays, mornings, and/or evenings, 8, 10- or 12-hour shifts. There is a $1.00 per hour shift differential paid for hours worked between 4:30pm and 5am. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments in all kinds of weather, as well as throughout the airport owned and operated buildings. These environments involve work in high precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and extremes of temperature and weather conditions. This position is subject to occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids. During special projects, this position may be required to work extended or additional shifts. To meet deadlines this position may require occasionally working beyond the normal 40- hour work week. In addition, weather or other emergency situations may require this position to work long shifts which may be on weekends and holidays.
