Duties
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and locker rooms
- Floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and refinishing floors
- Building maintenance and minor repairs
- Snow removal and ice treatment of sidewalks and entrances
- Grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and general upkeep
- Assisting with building inspections and preventative maintenance activities
- Setting up and tearing down for school and community events
- Assisting with deliveries and moving furniture or equipment as needed
- Supporting emergency procedures, safety drills, and facility operations
- Maintaining a safe, attractive, and efficient learning environment for students and staff
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Knowledge of appropriate cleaning techniques
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and building maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff, students, and community members
Salary/Benefits
$28-$30 per hour, negotiated with Superintendent and BOE based on experience + overtime and fringe benefits
