NOTICE OF TWO VACANCIES

POSITION: Custodian - Part-time (19.5 hours per week)

LOCATION:

1) Oshana Elementary School

2) Southington High School

SALARY: $17.81 per hour - Non-Union / No Benefits

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

• Be aware of common safety procedures and correct or report safety hazards to the appropriate authority.
• Perform repetitive tasks in maintaining an assigned area in a sanitary, orderly and attractive manner.
• Shovel snow to provide safe passage at doorways and entrance walks and maintain the cleanliness of walks and grounds.
• Respond to emergency phone calls when required.
• Perform related work assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduate or equivalent. Successful experience cleaning and maintaining buildings preferred. Ability to meet high standards of cleaning. Ability to work effectively independently. Possess a basic understanding of the need for building cleanliness and use of housekeeping equipment. Able to perform all tasks associated with general cleaning and maintenance. Exhibit ability to work cooperatively with faculty, students and visitors. Strong work ethic. Demonstrate evidence of being in good physical health to meet the demands of the position by passing the pre-employment physical assessment.
