Position Overview Philo Ridge Farm is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of our facilities. This role is responsible for supervising custodial staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness across all buildings, and maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for staff, guests, and visitors. The Custodial Supervisor will coordinate daily cleaning operations, train and support team members, monitor supply levels, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting overall operations by maintaining functional, clean, and well-kept spaces across the farm. This position may require a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Responsibilities Supervise and support custodial staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight Ensure all facilities (kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, offices, and public spaces) are cleaned and maintained to high standards Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and task lists for daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning routines philoridgefarm.org 2766 Mt. Philo Road, Charlotte, Vermont, 05445 Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards are met Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order as needed Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of cleaning equipment and tools Uphold all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards Coordinate waste management, including trash, recycling, and compost systems Respond to urgent cleaning needs and facility issues in a timely manner Collaborate with other departments to support events, daily operations, and special projects Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities experience required; supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and provide clear direction Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and proactively Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively across departments Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions Compensation Compensation ranges from $25 to $27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
