A clean, well-maintained facility is the foundation of everything we do at Rodeo Cannabis Co. We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Technician to join our team at our Sterling, CT facility. In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping our entire facility - production floors, offices, restrooms, and common areas - spotless, safe, and compliant with our high standards of cleanliness.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Facility Cleaning Maintain cleanliness across production floors, offices, break rooms, and common areas | Sanitization Disinfect high-touch surfaces, equipment exteriors, and shared work areas regularly | Restroom Care Clean, stock, and maintain restrooms to facility hygiene standards |
Floors & Surfaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors, windows, and glass surfaces throughout the building | ️ Waste & Recycling Collect, dispose of, and properly route waste and recyclables per facility protocols | Compliance & SOPs Follow all sanitation SOPs and CT cannabis facility cleanliness standards |
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain cleanliness throughout production areas, offices, break rooms, hallways, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and care for all flooring surfaces throughout the facility
- Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms on a regular schedule throughout each shift
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, shared equipment) following sanitation protocols
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and other interior surfaces as needed
- Collect, sort, and dispose of trash and recyclables in accordance with facility protocols
- Maintain custodial supplies and equipment; report low stock or equipment issues promptly
- Follow all cleaning SOPs and CT cannabis facility cleanliness and compliance standards
- Identify and report any facility maintenance needs, safety hazards, or spills immediately
- Support the broader team by maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming work environment
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a full shift
- Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, kneeling, and physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and following safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures in a regulated facility
- Dependable, punctual, and a strong team-oriented work ethic
- Must be 18 years of age or older per Connecticut cannabis regulations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience Preferred
- Experience cleaning in a commercial, industrial, healthcare, or regulated manufacturing setting Preferred
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment (auto-scrubbers, buffers, etc.)
- Knowledge of OSHA, SDS, or general workplace safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage cleaning schedules efficiently
