Job Title: Custodial WorkerLocation: 5100 Tice Street (Fort Myers, FL)Employment Type: Full-Time / HourlyGoodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Custodial Worker to perform general cleaning and maintenance services at offices, stores, and other customer locations. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and professional environments by performing routine custodial duties, properly using cleaning chemicals and equipment, and following established cleaning procedures. Key Responsibilities:Prepare cleaning chemicals in accordance with instructions and established procedures.Operate, clean, and perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and tools.Perform general custodial duties, including restroom cleaning, replenishing paper products and soap, emptying trash receptacles, dusting, damp wiping surfaces, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.Maintain clean and orderly floors through sweeping, dust mopping, and damp mopping.Perform cleaning duties in both indoor and outdoor environments based on customer needs.Follow all assigned cleaning procedures and work instructions.Communicate operational concerns, equipment issues, and supply needs to the Custodial Supervisor. Qualifications:High school diploma or GED preferred.Other combinations of education and experience that meet position requirements may be considered.Ability to read and understand instructions and accurately use cleaning chemicals.Knowledge of proper use of personal protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.Ability to legibly complete timekeeping records.Ability to work independently when provided with instructions and direction.Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Ability to push heavy cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuum cleaners, trash containers, cleaning stations, and water buckets.Ability to communicate issues and concerns effectively to supervisors.
