Custodial Worker
The Medina County Board of Commissioners is seeking a part-time Custodial Worker for the Medina County Home. The County Home is a non-skilled, residential, custodial care facility (max. census 50) that is not regulated by CMS guidance.
Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Superintendent
Adhere to County Home, local, state, and federal rules and regulations
Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment
Identify safety hazards
Make minor maintenance repairs
Speak/read/write English to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Effectively communicates both orally and in writing
Complete routine forms
Record, convey, and present information
Function independently or with little supervision
Exercise care in the use of chemicals and cleaning materials
Operate various equipment located at the facility
Drive facility vehicles to other locations
Assemble, move, and arrange furniture and equipment
Requirements:
Must pass a drug test and background check.
6-12 months working in a custodial environment preferred
Must possess and maintain reliable transportation
Valid Ohio Driver's License with a clean driving record
Hours: Minimum of 30 hours a week to include some weekends and holidays.
Schedule:
6-hour shift
Typically, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Paid 30-minute lunch
