    Description

    Job Summary

    Employees in this class are under close supervision. Essential Functions include responsibility for cleaning and maintaining the public areas of academic and administrative buildings, medical facilities, residence halls and apartments; assisting with maintaining assigned grounds areas; performing all assigned cleaning duties. Must be able to work any shift. Overtime will be required as necessary.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures Ability to understand and use the materials and equipment used in custodial work Ability to follow simple instructions Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with others Ability to perform light to heavy manual labor

    Required Qualifications

    Successful completion of the eighth grade
