North Seattle College is looking to hire a Custodian 2 (Evening Shift) for our Facilities & Operations Department.
Full salary range for this position is $44,040 - $54,432 (DOE)

Overview
Under the supervision of Custodial leadership, the Custodian 2 will be responsible for performing routine housekeeping and custodial duties.
This position is typically scheduled to work weekdays, 3:30pm-12am. The schedule may vary depending on department needs. May be required to work evenings and weekends as needed to support department needs.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE and subject to union shop provisions.

What you will be working on:
Clean and sanitize showers, restrooms, toilet facilities, public areas, classrooms (including podiums and instructor¿s desk), childcare centers (including the center¿s toys), labs, art studios and music
Restock classroom, labs and studios with soap and paper towels and restrooms and toilet facilities with items including, but not limited to, toilet paper, paper towels, soap and other custodial items
Maintain the cleanliness of floors, carpets, stairwells (interior and exterior), and elevators by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming; Shampoo carpets and upholstery in public areas and classrooms; Scrub and wax public areas and classroom hard surface floors
Wash windows
Dust and polish wood furniture;
Dust all surfaces and lighting, lockers, vents, fixtures, and blinds
Wipe clean classroom whiteboards and blackboards
Empty pencil sharpeners
Empty trash, recycling and compost containers (interior and exterior) and keeps containers clean
Paint small offices, restrooms, kitchens and classrooms
Make rounds, locking doors, closing windows, turning off lights and replacing burned out light bulbs
Pressure wash restrooms, and exterior areas on campus
Set up and take down furnishing for events
Participates in all safety and training sessions with supervisors
Pick up debris and trash in parking lots; Uses backpack blower on exterior walkways, railings and stairs wells to remove debris
Occasionally rake leaves, weed and mow lawns on campus
Shovel snow and assist removal of debris on an emergency basis
May act as team lead
Other duties as assigned
