The Pickerington Local School District (PLSD) is seeking interested applicants for Custodian - 2nd shift positions.
This is a 12 month position, 8-hours per day.
Work hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Applicant must possess a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Previous custodial work experience preferred
- Ability to maintain care of buildings, grounds and equipment
- Must have experience with operating heating and ventilating equipment
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry 80 pounds
- Ability to perform manual labor for long periods of time
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn technical building systems
- Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
- Ability to assist principal/supervisor in creating a safe, clean, positive and comfortable environment
- Ability to follow directions and a strong desire to succeed
- Must be friendly, dependable and exhibit a strong work ethic
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents of diverse populations
