The custodian will be performing a variety of custodial duties for restaurants to maintaining a clean dining environment for customers. Such duties shall be in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of Haidilao.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, deliver and/or serve items weighing up to 20-40 pounds throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
- Ability to stand and walk continually throughout the entire shift(6-8hours)
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach for products and items
- Ability to work to various temperature environment, for example low temperature in the refrigerator and high temperature in the cooking area
- Ability to clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Ability to work in loud areas, for example, the music for special performance and/or loud noise from the dishwasher machine
- Ability to attend work as scheduled, working various schedules and shifts throughout normal business hours
Education & Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- California Food Handler Certificate
- Fluent in English / Preferred languages: Mandarin and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the entire restaurant at all time, including the common areas, the restrooms, and waiting areas
- Responsible for the management of the sauce bar
- Make sure the sauce and dishes at the sauce bar section is replenished on time
- Maintain the cleaning equipment to avoid waste and unnecessary expenses
- Display welcome manner when meeting customers’ reasonable request
- Report any lost item to the manager immediately after found
- Deal with any ad-hoc incidents instantly and adequately, such as vomiting or the broken tableware, etc
- Follow safety procedures and policy strictly
- Assist colleagues actively and ensure customer satisfaction
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork
- Previous janitorial experience is preferred
- Good attitude and professionalism are a must
- Obtain the California Food Handler Certificate
