Location: Eustace ISD Facilities

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Custodian to join our team at Eustace ISD Facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and students.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all areas within the facility including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Ensure all windows and glass surfaces are kept clean and free of dust and smudges.
• Empty and clean all waste receptacles and replace liners.
• Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered on the job.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as per company policies and procedures.

Skills:

• Proven experience as a custodian or similar role.
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Good physical condition and strength.

Certifications:

While not mandatory, certifications related to custodial work, such as a Building Service Worker Certificate, would be considered an asset.
